Send a One-off SMS Message to a Patient

While Cliniko can automatically send SMS Appointment Reminders to your Patients, there may be a time when you need to communicate with someone quickly, and sending an email just won't do the job. Luckily, you can easily send a one-off SMS message to your Patients, straight from their Details page! Here's how to do it.

  1. Select a Patient
  2. Click on the Send SMS message link, which will be displayed under their mobile number
  3. Type your message and be sure to click the Send SMS message button
  4. You'll see a green success message in the lower right-hand corner of the screen, which indicates the message was sent successfully

That's it! You've just sent a one-off SMS message to your Patient. You'll be able to view a log of this message (and others!) in your Communications log.
