Deleting a User

We don't specifically let you delete a user completely from your database (that could get very messy, and we hate messy).  However if a user or practitioner leave your practice, you can make them Inactive which effectively deletes them from your system.

  1. Go to the Settings page

  2. Select Users & Practitioners

  3. Select the User you want to make inactive
  4. Set the user to inactive

  5. Click Update User

Done!  They will no longer count against your list of practitioners, and will not have access to the system.

If you have a whole lot of Inactive Users & Practitioners, then you can hide them from your list too! Simply makes sure that your Show Inactive Users checkbox on the Settings->Users & Practitioners page is not ticked:

They still come up in the practitioner list crowding it up unnecessarily. Having had a relatively high praccie/admin turnover lately for a range of reasons, I find that inconvenient and would prefer to be able to make them at the very least even more unvisible

Fair enough Daniela.  We have a few plans on how to make old practitioners a bit more "unvisable".  :)

Hi Jim, the newsletters are being emailed to the inactive users- even if they are no longer employed by us or any other health facility. Can you please give us the option of disabling this feature?

They would be able to unsubscribe from the newsletter if they chose - and nothing in the newsletters we send out would relate to your clinic specifically. Is there another reason you want to stop the email?

Within our clinic, we have created a fictitious practitioner for training purposes, and we also have a student practitioner which changes frequently. Both the email addresses are generic to the clinic. Add my actual subscription, and I suddenly receive multiple emails. But overall- we followed the advice from your team to unsubscribe the imaginary and transitional practitioners from the mailing list.
