Complete change history for Appointments

We've just released an update that many of you have been asking for!  Cliniko now tracks all changes made to appointments.

I need to come clean though, we actually released the code that tracks these changes a few days ago.  So Cliniko has been storing all this interesting information behind the scenes already.

We kept it a secret because we wanted to make sure it was working well and be sure it's something we could keep.

So... it's working well and something we're going to keep!

What this means is that we have stored all appointment changes that have occurred since a few days ago and of course all changes moving forward.  It also means you won't see any changes from before then. Sorry!

To see the change history for an appointment:

  1. Go to the Patients tab and choose a Patient.
  2. Choose Appointments in the menu on the left.
  3. Click View Log.
  4. Enjoy!

This is how that looks:

We hope you find this helpful and thanks for the feedback.

    Hey there,

Why is there now a final line under each change saying "'Updated at' changed from x to y"? This is completely redundant information (since it is in the first line), totally unnecessary, and clutters the page.  Can we remove this please? Hoping it's an error and and not an intentional change.

It would also look a lot neater and be easier to read if we could switch from having a separate "appointment start time changed" and "appointment end time changed" to a simple, "appointment time updated to 12:30pm-1:45pm". There's really no need to even say what it was changed FROM since you can see that on the preceding update. You would simply need to state the original booked appointment time in the "Created" line.

I love having the appointment change history but it could definitely benefit from some legibility updates. :)

PS if anything I said is confusing I would be happy to explain my thoughts further by phone.  - Jillian
