Minor fixes for patients without upcoming appointments report

We just released a few small fixes to the patients without upcoming appointments report:

  • It is now correctly sorted in order of the patient's last appointment date
  • It will now correctly display all patients, even if they have not had a previous appointment
  • It is now faster

We need 2 have an option on it also 2 remove some people from the list. ie. Those who r/s when they feel the need. Or those who done like b/up calls. Thnx Kathy.

I have noticed that in the last appointment column it lists the appointment even if it was a cancelled appointment, surely it would be more useful to have the last attended appointment

Hi Kathy! Thanks for the feedback. Quick question -- I'm interested to know why you're looking to be able to move people from the Patients Without Upcoming Appointments report. Is it because you're planning on sending out a mass email and don't want to include people who have said they'll just reschedule or would prefer not to be contacted? Just curious -- thanks!

Wendy, thanks for your thoughts on this. You're correct -- that column for "Last Appointment" shows the last appointment in general, regardless of whether it was cancelled or attended. I'm interested in your reasoning for wanting to see the last attended appointment versus the last one in general, even if it was cancelled -- could you let me know when you have a chance? Thanks!

Hi, I agree with Wendy's  comment. Now that I've started to really use that info and appreciate it's there, the cancelled appointments in the last appointments list is  a problem.

If they can't be taken out could they appear in red like the appointment list where the patient has cancelled or not arrived?  Marie

Some patients will regularly make and reschedule/cancel appointments, it is far more important for me to know when they attended clinic than when they made an appointment they didn't keep, for the purpose of keeping them in line with an agreed treatment programme. It is useful to know when they last made contact or intended to come in for marketing purposes etc, but I would usually look at this report when calling people to remind them they are due or overdue to come in for treatment.

Marie and Wendy, thank you both for the feedback on this! I've taken note on both of your comments -- and I agree with you both on the importance of knowing when they intended to come in, but I see how it would be useful to at least be able to differentiate this from when they actually last came in. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts on this, it's really helpful! :)
