Fixed a few issues with Letters

We just released a few small fixes for the letters feature that came out today:

  • Patient date of birth now shows up in a more appropriate format based on your regional standard
  • Large logos will no longer cause the font to appear small (the logo will now be "cut off" if too big, you'll need to check yours)
  • The patients "State" is now in the patient placeholders list.

Thanks for your quick feedback.  No matter how much testing we do, it never compares to real usage and we appreciate your help.

    Hi Maria,

You should press the print button and it should appear as a PDF in your browser, then Ctrl-P (or Cmd-P on mac) will let you print it.

    Does that help?

    Hi Joel,

seems when I use Chrome I can access cliniko and print - no worries - possibly some crazy browser issue with Internet Explorer?

Thank you - all good now

    Hi Maria,

Thanks for the update.  I am glad you're onto Chrome, Internet Explorer is horrible.

    Hi Joel,

I have an issue where I have set up a letter and it looks great in edit mode, but when I want to print, the editing is all skewiff!!!

Not sure how to fix it!

Can we have the following options in the letter writing function

    1. Date Entry, either automatically "today"or such things as last date patient seen

    2. Medicare Number as a field for patients.

    3. "Mail Invoice to" as an option for patient address field

    4. Last date attended in patient field

    5. Next appointment in patient field

I am sure there are other things I will come across as I make more letters, but these are the ones I would like added most..

    Thank you

It'd also be great to be able to attach files (and even notes) to emails.

I agree with Terry on the above and would also like to be able to insert both provider number and qualifications in the practitioner field.

    Thanks

2 things for me would be great additions, the date automatically posted on the letter when generated, and in my case next appointment day, date and time. I have patients who have been approved up to  3 visits over a 12 month period.

I agree we definitely need the date automatically generated to have at the top as well as an option to have the date written in full words for mid-sentence.

Hi, I would be grateful if you could add the "contact number" to the drop down menu for patients in the letters template as it would be required for follow on referrals

    much appreciated.

    Hi,

I also am having issues with formatting on letters.... in edit mode it looks great, but once I try to print it the formatting is all over the place... what was the solution from 'Simones' post - same issue!

    Thank you :)

We're still trying to track down what's happening, but hopefully will have a fix soon. I've found a bit of a work-around that can work for you in the meantime:

    1. Go into your template (in Settings -> Letter Templates)
    2. Edit your template
    3. Copy the entire text of your template
    4. Go back to your list of templates and click "Create new Template"
    5. Paste your text into it
    6. Save this new template
Now if you create a new letter with this template instead, the formatting should look better.
