We have just added notifications to practitioners when a booking is made online via the patient online bookings page. This notification is optional and the default is not to receive a notification. If you want to start receiving these you will need to change the setting in Settings > Online Bookings.
The options are to receive an SMS, an Email, or both. If you have these notifications on, the practitioner that the appointment was created for will receive the alert. The alert will be sent as soon as the online booking is created.
This should be very helpful for situations where patients book in for the same day or next day.

Note: Choosing the SMS option will mean that an SMS credit is used for each time you are notified. Unfortunately the SMS cost us behind the scenes so we need to pass on that cost.
