Account Summary for patients and more

We have just released another update!

Filter patient invoices

You can now filter the invoices on the patient page. This makes it easier to find all invoices for a selected period, or perhaps just show outstanding invoices.

Create Account Statement

You can now create an account statement for a patient. This will summarise all of the invoices in a selected period.  Use the new invoice filter to select the invoices to be included, then click the "Account Statement" button.

Fixed issue with multi-page invoices

We fixed a formatting issue that was occurring for invoices spanning over multiple pages, they will now look better.

Better Internet Explorer 7 & 8 compatibility

Fixed an issue preventing Internet Explorer versions 7 & 8 from display invoice PDF's properly.  We still recommend using a different browser like Chrome or Firefox, but if you can't, it will work better now.

This is very good, thanks Joel. Just a few things I have noted with the statement that probably need to be addressed to work for insurance purposes:

    1. Need to include item code for each item, as this is what the insurance companies use for billing.

    2. The "Invoice to" box on the statement doesn't use the "Invoice extra information" (in the patients details), that was recently included, this means that it will always show billed to "patient details" and not say, the insurance company.

    3. On my statement the "default invoice note", that is set-up through "invoice settings", runs through the statement totals.

If these could be addressed this would be really useful for providing insurance companies with a statement of treatments over a selected time period.

I guess another inclusion would be the ability to email to the insurance company straight from Cliniko, for me this is last on the list above, though!

    Hope this helps,

    Cheers,

    Tyraus

Thanks for the detailed feedback Tyraus. I will try to get all of these points addressed.  Cheers.

This looks great Joel!  We'd like it if you could show the payments too, in a column.  If there is an amount still outstanding, it doesn't state which invoice is the one outstanding, and some of our patients need proof of payment before insurance companies will reimburse.  I know if they don't owe, it will show a zero balance, but sometimes they need more information.

    Thanks!

Hi Donna, would it be enough to add an "outstanding" column next to each invoice, or do you need the details of the payment too?

    Hi Joel,

One more suggestion to improve the usability of the account statement. It would be very useful to be able to select (check-boxes) the invoices in the list to include in the statement. Not all invoices shown for a given date filter should necessarily be included in the statement (eg: a payment may not go against all invoices in the date filter).

    Hi Joel,

    | was thinking we could get away with just showing that the invoice was paid, but apparently we need all the payment details as well, for tax purposes.

The item code has been added to the account statement, more changes based on your feedback coming soon.  We also added a new receipt for payments that cover multiple invoices, details here http://support.cliniko.com/entries/20751581-new-receipt-for-multi-invoice-payments

    Hi Joel,

Just noticed the account statement still does'nt show the correct information if the patient has information in the "invoice to" box of their details, still only shows patient details on the statement.

    Cheers, Tyraus

Hi Tyraus, I haven't made any big changes to the account statement yet, it will come later this week including that.  Currently included in this weeks plans are:

    • Improve the "Invoice to", "Patient extra details" and "Invoice Notes" areas to be more configurable like the normal invoices

    • Add payment details to the account statement

    • Add email ability to account statement

    • Show details for individual line items for each invoice

If there is anything else needed please let me know.
