Patient Birthdays

We now help you avoid that awkward situation of realising it is a patients birthday just after they leave your clinic.

A couple of changes have been made to help you stay on top of patient birthdays:

Upcoming Birthdays Report

There is a new report that will give you birthdays of your patients for a selected month. The information in the report has been designed so that you can easily copy/paste it into a spreadsheet if you like to mail merge email them.

This report can be used for any month (we expect current month and next month will be most useful).

Patient Page Reminder

If you have the patient in your practice on their birthday, there is no chance of forgetting now. We have added a subtle reminder on the patient page that you will be sure to see.

I never see the patient page reminder because I never need to access it during an appointment!

    Very true, Valerie!

It would be great if the birthday list would show ALL clients, active and inactive, as I still like to send out birthday messages on their birthday.

Also would be great if there were a way to schedule automatic birthday messages.

    Thank you!

I think many clinics make a patient inactive when the patient is deceased.

Oh right, well I usually make them inactive if they are no longer visiting the clinic, and if they return then I reactivate them.

But I still like to send out birthday messages to clients that aren't regularly visiting the clinic. To let them know we are thinking about them. :-)

Hi Angela. Do you use mailchimp? We use that for automated birthday emails. Because it syncs automatically with your database, all information (including DOB) syncs across, then in mailchimp you set up an autoresponder, design the email, and set when you want it to send (on their birthday, day before, week before, etc) and it all happens automatically from then on.

We set it to send 2 days before the patient's birthday, and include a special offer as a birthday gift, which often reactivates old clients. Worth trying that if you haven't already, I love it.
